Roberto has been providing compassionate and non-judgemental, counseling services in Central Florida for the last 12 years. His original background is in political sciences. For that reason, Roberto highly values the importance of not only been a therapist, but also been an advocate for his clients when necessary. In this respect, he is highly experienced in working with a wide diversity of clients. These clients come from different backgrounds, cultures and life circumstances.

Throughout his career as a bilingual therapist, Roberto has extensive experience serving the LGBTQ+ community. Also, he has been working with survivors and families affected by the Pulse Nightclub tragedy. Roberto also is a culturally competent and bilingual therapist. As a result, he can provide counseling in both English or Spanish. Also, he trained to work with clients who have intersectional identities, immigrants, and veterans. In addition, he is highly experienced working with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD, gender dysphoria, grief and loss, acculturation, and existential issues.

Thus, Roberto always strives to help clients to achieve autonomous growth with respect and encouragement. He enjoys assisting clients in their journey and supporting them to become a stronger, more confident version of themselves.

Roberto’s experience

Roberto Katz attended school at the University of Central Florida. He got a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counselor Education in 2012. At the time of Roberto’s education at UCF, their counselor education program was ranked in the top 12 counseling programs in the nation. Roberto did his internship hours for the state of Florida while he worked for the Centar Program at Aspire Health Partners. There he worked under Keith Raskins‘ license at a registered intern. Roberto then worked for year at 26 Heath as a lead counselor. He eventually became the clinical manager before joining Orlando Counseling & Therapy Group.
